COW CREEK, W.Va. — Opal G Acord, 39 and one/half and holding, of Cow Creek passed away Thursday June 16, 2011.

Born April 20, 1926, in Labota, she was a daughter of the late Jeff May and Irene Howard May Click. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Ermil Lee Acord; infant sister, Beatrice May; special cousin, Lois (Ed) Abraham; aunts, Ollie Spears, Jaunita Young, Betty Spence and Tennessee Howard; uncles, Ermil Howard and Seymore Howard, and cousins, Thomas Spence, Jarvie Spence, Mickey Abraham and Seymore Abraham.

Those left to cherish her memory include a sister-in-law, Kay (Robert) Collins; brothers-in-law, Green Perry, Alvis Perry and Troy (Litha) Perry; special nephews, Anthony (Julie) Collins and Matthew Collins; special cousins, Joseph Abraham and family, Billy (Jennifer) Abraham and family, Lewis (Judy) Abraham and family, Jeff (Sally) Spence and family, Nora White and family, Mary (Pat) Varney and family, Sally (Bill) Smith and family, Meridith Spence and family, Joe (Renee) Spence and family and Judy (Fred) Wessolek; too many cousins to name, and special mention Jimmie White, Jeff (Bo) Spence, Daniel Stewart, Karen Hatfield and Sandy Stapleton.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, at Collins Funeral Home with the Pastor Charlie Abraham officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in Godby.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
