CHAPMANVILLE — Lydia Vance of Chapmanville has accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). Lydia will be honored during an Induction Convocation this fall on the campus of Marshall University.

Vance is a 2010 valedictorian for Chapmanville Regional High School and attained the Dean's List at Marshall University every semester. She is the daughter of Tony and Te-Te Vance of Chapmanville.

NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is the nation's only interdisciplinary honors organization for first- and second-year college students.
