Logan announces Cal Ripken League all-star schedule

The Logan Cal Ripken League has announced its all-star schedule for the summer.

Logan will host the state tournament for the 10-year-old and 7-8-year-old divisions in early July.

On Friday, July 8 at Logan’s Paul Hale Field, the Logan 10s are scheduled to play Buffalo at 7 p.m.

Then on Saturday, July 9 at noon, Logan is slated to take on Buffalo in Game 2 of the best-of-three series.

At 2 p.m., Logan’s 7-8 team is set to play Buffalo.

At 4 p.m., the Logan 10s will play Buffalo in a decisive third game, if necessary.

At 6 p.m., the Logan 7-8 squad is set to play Buffalo again.

The Logan 11-12-year-old Cal Ripken All-Star team is slated to play the state tournament at Buffalo but the schedule has yet to be released.

If the Logan 11-12s win the state tourney it would advance to the Ohio Valley Regional tourney, which is slated to begin July 21 in Schererville, Ind.

If the Logan 10-year-old Cal Ripken All-Star team wins the state tourney it would move on to play in the Ohio Valley Regionals on July 21 in Lexington, Ky.

The Logan 7-8-year-old team has automatically advanced to play in the regional invitational tourney beginning July 21 in Lexington, Ky.

Logan also has a 9-year-old Cal Ripken All-Star team and it has automatically advanced to play in the Ohio Valley Regionals, set for July 21 in St. John, Ind.

This is Logan’s first year in the Cal Ripken League.
