Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is reportedly sing tonight on “America’s Got Talent”.

Recent reports said Murphy would most likely perform on tonight’s show on NBC. Murphy was in Logan last week and posted on his facebook page that he was leaving for Hollywood.

The live round of competition started last week with the first 12 contestants performing their various talents. Several were already sent home.

In the current, live round of the show, viewers’ votes count, along with the judges’ opinions.

The TV reality talent show is currently in its live round of contestants vying for $1,000,000 and a shot at headlining a Las Vegas show. The live competition is being held in Hollywood. Murphy reportedly left for Hollywood yesterday.

Reports last week to The Logan Banner said Murphy will perform on the July 26 show and a congratulatory sign at the Huddle House in Chapmanville says he will perform that night. Currently, the show is showcasing 12 of the 48 contestants each night. The first round began last Tuesday and continued Wednesday night. There will be 12 more competing tonight and 12 more tomorrow night.

The show airs at 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays on NBC affiliate WSAZ TV 3.

The report could not be confirmed nor denied by Murphy, who is contractually prevented from talk to the press during the competition.

Murphy, a Logan car washer, advanced in the TV reality talent show to the live TV round in Hollywood with his rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “I Get No Kick From Champagne” in Las Vegas.

Murphy won the first round of the competition by singing Sinatra’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.”

Murphy wowed judges Sharon Osborne, Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel when he sung the Sinatra standard and the judges unanimously voted him through to the next stage of the competition — Hollywood.

Murphy received a standing ovation from the three judges when he performed in the first round of the competition. He impressed the judges and the audience in the first round by singing the Sinatra classic. The three judges all voted to put Murphy into the Las Vegas round.

The talent contest isn't just for singers. Murphy will compete against singers, magicians, comedians and others hoping to be named the next winner of "America's Got Talent."
