JENNY’S CREEK, W.Va. — Joyce Ann Muncy, 63, beloved wife and devoted mother, was escorted to Heaven by the angels Wednesday, July 20, 2011.

Born July 18. 1948, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Florence Bush of Big Stone Gap, Va. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Dorothy Hurley

Survivors include her devoted husband, William Riley Muncy Sr.; children, Rhonda (Samme) Jacks of Ashville, Ohio, William (Paddee) Muncy Jr. of Oklahoma; Tammy Muncy of Columbus, Ohio, Mark (Kim) Muncy of Coal Mountain and Douglas (Maranda) Muncy of Man; grandchildren: Stephen, Caity, Travis, Megan, Amanda, Sarah, Brandy, Dustin, Brittany, Morgan and Carlee; one great-grandchild, Lucas; one brother, Ronald Bush of Hilliard, Ohio; one sister, Carylnn Stener of MacArthur, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was a great protector of those she loved. She was a joy and a blessing to all that loved her. Jesus has welcomed another Saint into heaven with open arms. she will be greatly missed and never forgotten for our loss is heaven gain. A special thanks to Ethel Messer and Jane Muncy for their love and help.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Old Jenny’s Creek Church with Freddie Messer Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Cater-Messer Cemetery in Kermit.

Visitation began after 12 p.m. Friday at the church.

Arrangements were by Phelps & Son Funeral Home of Inez, Ky.
