The First Baptist Church of McConnell observed Baby Day on Sunday, June 5, in the morning church service. Each babe was given a Baby's first Bible or a Bible story book about the story of Jonah. First Baptist Church of McConnell a graded Sunday School, an AWANA program for three year olds through the sixth grade that corresponds with the public school year, and large youth group that meets all year round on Wednesday evenings. The Vacation Bible School is the highlight of the year. The VBS is always scheduled the last full week of July and has lessons that are written and produced by the pastor and staff. There are also several ministries that young people can be associated with at the church including: Mime and Drama, Puppets, Summer League Basketball, Winter Bible Contest, and the Food Pantry and Good Will House missions.
