CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Richard Dean Tomblin, 48, of Charleston, formerly of Dingess, departed this life Wednesday, December 13, 2006.
Born June 5, 1958, in Mingo County, he was a son of the late Tommy Tomblin and Manda Mae Messer of Dingess. Also preceding him in death was two brothers, Buster Tomblin and James Messer, and one sister, Sylvia Tomblin.
Survivors include two sisters, Naomi Tomblin Dyer of LaPorte, Ind., and Goldie Mae Larson of Mississippi; one brother, Ernest Lee Sheppard of Dingess; nieces, Myrtle Ferrell, Manda Hall, Francis Steele, April Tomblin, and Patricia "Sue" Miller; nephews, Buster Tomblin Jr., William Hugh Tomblin, Delmare Tomblin, Frank Tomblin, and Charlie Tomblin, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, at the East Fork Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Setser officiating. Burial will follow in the Vance Family Cemetery in East Fork.
