SHIRLEY FOWLER

 PIE, W.Va. — Shirley Marie Fowler, 89, of Pie, departed this life Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at her residence.

 Born March 19, 1917, at Monaville, she was a daughter of the late Jonas and Margaret Browning Vance. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Elmo Fowler Sr.; one son, Elmo Fowler Jr.; four brothers, Bryan, Frank, Charlie and Lawrence Vance, and two sisters, Violet Stanley and Sally Thompson.

 Shirley was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

 Survivors include one son, Lawrence (Linda) Fowler of Delbarton; one daughter, Dorothy (Don) Grimmett of Dingess; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Ashley Mullins and Sherry Hatfield, and a host of special nieces and nephews.

 The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 4th and 5th floor at Logan Regional Medical Center.

 Services will be held at noon Saturday, February 24, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel at Switzer with Rev. Bill Snodgrass and Rev. Ron Page Officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

 Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

 Collins Funeral Home at Switzer is in Charge of arrangements.
