A 911 call about domestic violence led to a drug arrest recently in Logan County.

Jason Lambert, 24, of Wilkinson, was arrested by Deputy J. L. Mathis and B.E. Ferrell of the Logan County Sheriff's Department for possession of a controlled substance, domestic assault, domestic battery and obstructing an officer on Feb. 15.

According to law enforcement reports, at 3:23 on Thursday the deputies received a dispatch from the Logan 911 officer to respond to a hang-up call in the Omar area.

"Upon our arrival, we could hear the defendant yelling at a female stating 'I will kick you (expletive deleted),” the report states.

The deputies knocked on the door and were invited inside by the owner. As they walked to the back bedroom Deputy Mathis asked the defendant, Jason Lambert, to step out on the porch.

"The defendant then put on his shoes and reached into his pockets, Deputy Mathis gave the defendant several commands to remove his hands from his pockets, the defendant pulled out a syringe from his right pocket," the report states. Mathis reportedly gave Lambert more commands to drop the syringe and remove his left from his pocket and Lambert allegedly refused to comply.

"Deputy Mathis then grabbed the defendant and performed an arm-bar take-down," the report states. The victim told officers she and Lambert had been involved in a domestic dispute and that Lambert (allegedly) "had bit her and punched her in the head" and pulled the cord out of the wall when she dialed 911. Deputies reportedly noticed several marks on the hands and head of the victim.

"These deputies located a prescription bottle lying on the bed where the defendant was standing when we entered, the bottle contained five blue oblong pills believed to be xanax and eight and a half white oblong pills believed to be Vicodins," the report states.

Lambert was taken into custody and was booked at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden at 5:25 p.m.
