President Stone reviewed the past Christmas and Winter activities and reported on the treasurer's report.
Woman's Club members assisted in the kitchen at the Omar Elementary School's Valentine Dance on Friday, February 9, 2007.
Those members were Loretta Hooker, Marjorie Holbrook, Jill Stone, and Jeanette Blankenship, for a total of 11 volunteer hours. It was also reported that the club had completed all activities and paperwork to be awarded honor and superior club through the GFWC WV and the State Convention at the Greenbrier on April 14-16. Members also discussed donating and pledging to the Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College project "Vision 2020".
The club members unanimously agreed to endorse member Terri Trout to run for Recording Secretary for the Southwestern District. Trout presently serves as the district Historian.
The next new project the club will endeavor will be in the field or domestic violence, which is the state president's special project. There will be more discussion of this project at the March meeting.
Those in attendance were Jill Stone, Katie Gwinn, Norma Gwinn, Terri Trout, and Janice Stone.
