I am writing to see what other people think of the new Worker’s Comp system. As for myself, I believe the new system is the worst mistake any governor has made since as far back as I can remember.

For example: My daughter-in-law was injured on the job back in March 2005. She was off work for a while and then was released to return to work. She was kept under doctor’s care while she worked because the doctor felt she needed a test to make sure everything was alright.

After what seemed like forever, Worker’s Comp finally authorized the test her doctor had been requesting. Upon receiving the report back that she was suffering from herniated discs, the doctor took her back off work in September 2005. The doctor requested she be sent to a specialist; request denied; requested again and again but denied each and every time.

Eventually, Worker’s Comp decides to send her to their doctor for a percentage exam. Their doctor requested a test called a FCE, which he felt she needed and refused to return her back to work until the test was done. His request was denied so comp sends her to another doctor for evaluation. This doctor gives the same decision, requesting the same test that the other doctor had requested
