Jimmy Kazee, Jr., 50, of West Logan, was arrested by Logan County Sheriffs Deputy N. Booth for riding an ATV on the highway (wrong way on a one way street), no insurance, DUI and possession of a controlled substance on June 11.
According to law enforcement reports, Deputy Booth was dispatched to an accident on First Avenue in West Logan. "Upon my arrival I spoke with Mr. Kazee and could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath," the report states. "Mr. Kazee told me that he was traveling north on a one way street in West Logan and side swiped another vehicle. I then I then administered three field sobriety tests, which he failed. I then asked Mr. Kazee if he had any type of narcotics on him, and he reached into his pocket and pulled out two pill bottles. one containing one and one in half white wafers believed to be methadone in a Lasix bottle, and another containing five, blue oblong pills behaved to be Xanax in an Ambien bottle.
Kazee was arrested and booked at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden at 8:18 p.m.
Tammy Hensley, 37, of McConnell, was arrested by West Virginia State Police Trooper J.E. Williams for joy riding, petit larceny and driving on a revoked license on June 14.
According to law enforcement reports, the officer was performing a road check at Upper Crawley Creek when he saw a 1995 Mercedes stop at the location.
Reportedly, driver Tammy Hensley had a revoked license for DUI and an arrest warrant out on her for petit larceny from July of 2005.
The victim arrived and told the officer "the vehicle that the accused was driving was actually his vehicle and it was about to get reported stolen," the report states.
The victim told the officer that Hensley allegedly took the vehicle without his consent and $300 in cash from his home, and said he was on his way to report both stolen.
A passenger in the Mercedes reportedly told the trooper that Hensley allegedly took the money. According to the 2005 warrant, Hensley allegedly stole $220 worth of jewelry from a residence in Pigeon Roost where she had asked to use the phone.
Hensley was taken into custody and booked at the regional jail at 1:10 a.m.
