Major Michael F. Jarrells has returned from Baghdad, Iraq, and is currently visiting family in Logan County.

In continuation of his military career, Jarrells has been competitively selected to teach at the Air Force Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. At the college he will be responsible for teaching International Studies to promising Majors at the graduate level to prepare them for increased future responsibilities. His unit is under the command of Air Education and Training Command in San Antonio, Texas.

Jarrells is the son of Agie and Carol Jarrells of Verdunville. His wife, Melody, is the daughter of Thomas and Frankie Workman of McConnell. The couple has a daughter, Alexis and a son, Benjamin.

Jarrells is a 1988 graduate of Logan Senior High School.

The Jarrells are inviting family and friends to join them for a picnic at Chief Logan State Park, shelter , tomorrow, June 29, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.

The family would like to express their appreciation for all of the support while Mike was deployed to Iraq.
