LULA TOMBLIN

DINGESS, W.Va. n Lula Tomblin, 63, of Dingess, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born February 4, 1944, at Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Truman Russell and Ruby Wooten. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Willard Tomblin; three brothers and two sisters.

Lula was a homemaker and attended Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include eight children, Gary Wooten, William “Buddy” Tomblin, Willard Jr. “Boo” (Donna) Tomblin and Benjamin Joe (Renee) Tomblin, all of Dingess, LaDon (Mike) Thomason of Winchester, Tenn., and Larry (Janet) Wooten, Erin “Blue Eyes” (Lisa) Tomblin and Teddy Ray (Tonya) Tomblin, all of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Emmzy Wooten of Michigan; 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many other family, friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, at the Mud Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sid Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Tomblin Cemetery at Dingess.

Her sons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.
