With all the people, primarily children, across this nation being mauled, mangled and killed by these killer dogs such as pit bulls and similarly deadly animals, there must be some legislation to eliminate the harm done by these animals including banning them.
It is inhumane to eliminate all this breed of animals? Certainly not. What is inhumane is to continue exposing helpless children to having their faces torn off, mangled or killed. These animals are bred to kill or attack for one reason or another. Bred for fighting or attacking people, of which neither is legal. Pit bulls are aggressive. They are that way because of certain genetics.
Even if the dog owners, in possession of them, were required to purchase enormous amounts of liability insurance for the damage these dogs may do, what is the price of a child’s face or life? Whether this applies to dogs in downtown Logan, or dogs in downtown Manhattan, Toledo or Hollywood, the one factor remains the same, these dogs are still dangerous mangle’s and killers.
Laws to that effect are eminently reasonable for the safety of citizens and of the animal, because the danger posed by vicious dogs and pit bulls arises from the owner’s natural inability to safely control the animal, and the fact that these animals unpredictable, rational legislation should focus on, the breed. To put it simply, pit bulls have a split personality, inbred, rooted and ingrained in them. They will attack even those who love them, without reason.
As in the State Supreme Court of Ohio on August 1, 2007, Toledo and state laws singling out pit bulls as inherently vicious dogs are constitutional, the Ohio Supreme Court, 7-0 unanimously ruled. And, “quote,” evidence proves that pit bulls cause more damage than other dogs when they attack, cause more fatalities in Ohio than other dogs, and cause Toledo police to fire weapons more often than people or other breeds of dogs cause the firing of weapons,’’ wrote Chief Justice Thomas Moyer”.
If you love yourself and your children, you would not own one, nor let them come near you. They should be banned and outlawed. One cannot help but believe that part of the allure of owning a pit bull is the danger. If it’s not, then why bother?
Living in the neighborhood with one of these animals is also terrorism.
