Were your ancestors living in Logan County during the years 1861 through 1865? Find out if you are a descendant of one of the Civil War's "Logan County Wildcats" who served with the 36th Virginia Infantry.

Have a five generation lineage chart filled out with the help of local historian and genealogist, Eldean Wellman, while visiting the Museum in the Park at Chief Logan State Park during the Civil War Heritage Weekend, September 22 -23.

Ms. Wellman has just completed a history on the Logan County Wildcats and will assist you in stepping back in time to find your lost Civil War ancestor.

As sources, Ms. Wellman will be using three of the books of "The Virginia Regimental History Series" and the "Logan County Federal Census 1850 thru 1920."

Come by the museum and take a "crash course in genealogy." For more information call the Museum in the Park at 792-7229 or 792-7230.
