Lady Wildcat netters top Man on Senior Night

The Logan High School girls’ volleyball team continues to be at the top of their game.

The trend continued on Tuesday as Logan topped county rival Man, 25-14, 25-16, 25-12 at Logan High School’s Willie Akers Arena to improve to 14-10 on the season.

It was also Senior Night and LHS bid farewell to its eight senior players n Heather Meade, Staci Herndon, Tara Williams, Kaitlin Bragg, Hannah Castle, Lanna Bates, Amanda Blair and Sarah Podunavac.

“I really appreciate the kids and our eight seniors for sticking it out,” Logan coach Tim Cunningham said. “I’m real proud to have these kids out there.”

Logan closes out the regular season on Thursday at Herbert Hoover.

The Lady Cats then are set to play on Oct. 30-31 in the Class AA sectional tourney at Sherman. Logan has the No. 2 seed and will most likely play Sherman or Chapmanville in the opening round. Wayne will probably get the No. 1 seed.
