Jordan Moore gave local boxing fans just what they wanted on Saturday night at the 19th-annual Coal Area Toughman Contest.

Another championship.

Moore, 19, a former four-time all-state baseball player at Logan High School, defeated Jeremiah "Stone Cold" Adkins of Harts in the men's light heavyweight championship in a three-round decision.

It was the second straight year Moore, dubbed "The People's Champion" had defeated Adkins in the finals.

Adkins has been the Coal Area Toughman runner-up in the men's light heavyweight division five years in a row.

Moore, now 7-0 in two years of Toughman competition, is now eligible to compete in next spring's Toughman World Championships at a city to be announced later.

Moore, a Verdunville native, beat Josh Stepp of Lovely, Ky., in Saturday night's semifinals via split decision. Moore had advanced with a first-round victory over Jessie Meek of Van Lear, Ky., in another close decision. Moore also won his bout on Friday night during the first night of the Toughman.

Saturday night's other four winners are also eligible to compete in the World Championships.

All of Saturday's other four title bouts were also via decision.
