Every year the group works together on the annual Christmas drives for the two organizations. The Lions will be volunteering at Christmas in the Park on Dec. 6 and 13, according to President Bill McDonald. Volunteers in the group will be needed there starting around 5 p.m. to help take up donations and greet visitors. The club will be ringing the bells for the Salvation Army on Dec. 24 this year, McDonald added.
McDonald said this year's Tri-Club dinner was a success with an excellent guest speaker and noted that of the 41 people who attended, 16 were from the Lions Club, 16 were from the Kiwanis and that nine were from the Rotary Club. McDonald said the Ladies Auxiliary of the Nighbert Memorial Methodist Church did an exceptional job with the dinner and noted that the club owed them about $200 for their meals.
