Maybe I came off on the wrong foot here. I did take Brandi’s comments as a direct insult to my uniform, but in the same sentence she does have a couple valid points. No, this war isn’t about oil. And no, we didn’t give a crap about Iraq twenty years ago. And you’re right again about the “armament” companies. Maybe you should invest some money in the aircraft industry. The Marine Corps just implemented the v-22 Osprey helicopter, and people are going to need to be shot for killed for many years to come.
You have some points, but you don’t have the validation to back your points. Would you turn down the cash? I doubt it. And if you tell me you wouldn’t, I will call you an immoral integrity violator.
IF you want to blame anyone for the state of the Middle East today, look at the history of the United Kingdom. The British (for virtually centuries) promised the Arab people a State for their own Governance. But before turning over the land, the British decided that (unbeknownst to the Arabs) the Arabs were too dumb to govern themselves. Of course the British promised them compensation that never occurred. After WWI, the British “Drew” the “grid lines” that created the Modern Day Middle Eastern countries.
I’ve given you the “Meat and Potatoes” of the situation, but if you really want to understand it, read about where Alexander the Great went in his 11,000 mile march. Read about Genghis Kahn and the Mongols. Read about Abraham in the Old Testament and make your decision. It all leads back to the Arab/Judaism/Christian conflict. If you read about the before mentioned documents, you will see what has led to America’s involvement in today’s society.
