I just read a story on MSNBC.com about the way some people are treating the extended family of the former WVU coach (It’s not worth using the ink for his name.)
While I understand people being disappointed, disheartened and even downright mad at him, his niece and nephew DO NOT deserve to have threats taped to their lockers and have to be escorted to class.
The West Virginians I knew when I grew up in the Mountain State might have expressed their outrage at the coach, but they would have had enough sense to understand that relatives had absolutely no bearing on his decision.
Just because your uncle is a money-grubbing liar doesn’t mean you should pay the price for his lack of character.
It’s amazing how a coach can go from being nominated for sainthood one day to being Lucifer himself in 24 hours.
