I am a senior at Man High School and about to face the responsibility of making a living and the job opportunities in this area really concerns me.
I would like to stay, work and live here in Logan County. There are not a lot of career opportunities other than the coal industry. It is always being threatened by environmentalists and the market itself and even if there will be enough coal to mine for me to be able to reach a retirement age.
I would hate to work until I am 50 or 60 years old just to find there is no more need for the job skill I have devoted my life to. I would really like to see our local politicians or someone to step up to the plate and create more job opportunities other than minimum wage jobs.
