Among her achievements while at CHS, she attended HOBY Leadership Conference during her sophomore year at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., and attended Girl's State during her junior year at Longwood University in Farmville, Va. She was chosen as a Junior Honor Marshall, elected section leader of the flute section in the CHS Band, and received the Silver and Gold Awards in Girl Scouting. Jennifer was selected for the Who's Who Among American High School Students and had a poem published nationally in a book entitled "Why I'm Proud to be an American" during her eighth grade year, Jennifer was a member of the Volleyball team and also ran Track and Cross Country.
Jennifer recently began her second semester at Marshall University School of Nursing in Huntington. She received the Border State Scholarship and the Achievement Scholarship from Marshall University, and she also received the Covington High School Class of 1954 Scholarship.
Jennifer is the daughter of Kent and Pam Blevins of Covington and the granddaughter of James and Lucetta Ferrell of Mitchell Heights and Earnest and Mamie Blevins of Henlawson.
