Seventy Buffalo Creek Grade School students received free rods, reels, tackle boxes and other fishing equipment yesterday at the second annual Buffalo Creek Watershed Association’s Spring Break Fish Outing at Crites’ Justin McCoy Memorial Park on Buffalo Creek. Several area coal companies and businesses, along with the Logan County Commission and other members of the community joined together to provide the kids with the fishing gear to help them try to catch some of the 1,500 pounds of rainbow trout brought in from Beckley and placed in Buffalo Creek.
