Eldon Wells, 20, of Lyburn, was arrested by West Virginia State Police Trooper J.R. Brewer for destruction of utility property and conspiracy to commit a felony on March 21. He was booked at the regional jail at 12 p.m.
Justin Blair, 22, was taken arrested on March 21 by the WVSP for destruction of property and conspiracy to commit a felony. He was booked at the regional jail at 12:26 p.m.
According to police reports, on Feb. 27, the officer received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle on Rich Creek when $500 worth of copper line was stolen in the area.
"The accused, Eldon Wells and Justin Blair, were seen in the area," the report states. "Eldon Wells advised this officer that he and Justin Blair did steal the phone line. This officer recovered the copper at Vance Recycling."
Warrants were issued for their arrest and they were taken into custody and booked at the regional jail.
