Clifford Clay Caldwell, 45, of Lyburn, was arrested in Logan County by West Virginia State Police troopers L.T. Goldie, M.L. Vance and T.W. Tippett for DUI, destruction of property, petit larceny and driving an ATV on the highway on a revoked license on April 23.
According to law enforcement reports, Caldwell and another individual allegedly "cut free and stole a breaker box belonging to American Electric Power, which rendered the property useless."

"These officers detected a strong aroma of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the defendant's person and conducted several field sobriety tests which the defendant failed. The defendant was operating the motor vehicle on a WV highway without the use of any proper safety equipment. Upon further investigation these officers discovered the defendant was operating this vehicle on a revoked license."
He was booked at the regional jail at 11:15 p.m. on $7,500 bond.
