TAPLIN - Another Logan County Schools bus was involved in a traffic accident.
A special needs school bus was traveling on Route 10 at Taplin yesterday when a large truck smacked the bus's mirror, according to Logan County Schools Assistant Superintendent Jim Guy. There have been several minor bus crashes this year in Logan County.
The driver was not injured, Guy said.
"Two mirrors smashed," Guy said. "A semi-truck hit the bus's mirror and it busted the window. There was glass all over the place, but no one was hurt."
The collision of mirrors happened around 3 p.m.
Logan County Schools Superintendent Wilma Zigmond said the crash was not the fault of the bus driver.
"It's not our drivers' fault," Zigmond said. "People are negligent and in a hurry. Think of how serious it could have been. We go out at such a fast pace and we get tunnel vision where we're taking care of ourselves, that we don't stop to think about what can happen."
This is at least the sixth bus crash this year. None of the bus crashes have resulted in injuries to students.
No children were injured in yesterday's crash.
