LORADO - Area law enforcement officers made a drug arrest during the investigation of a domestic violence call over the weekend.
Peggy Hale, 47, of Lorado, was arrested in Logan County by the West Virginia State Police for possession with intent to deliver, domestic assault and domestic battery on May 3. She was booked at the regional jail at 2:55 p.m.
Gordon Hale, 22, of Lorado, was arrested in Logan County by the WVSP for possession with intent to deliver, domestic assault and domestic battery on May 3. He was booked at the regional jail at 2:55 a.m.
According to law enforcement reports, Troopers B.K. Wellman and D.C. Moore responded to a domestic dispute between the couple and "heard loud screaming and fighting coming from inside the apartment," and observed "numerous items broken and turned over in the apartment."
"These officers observed a small plate and straw, both with white powder residue, setting on the coffee table," the reports state. "Upon further investigation, these officers discovered a mall, unmarked vial containing 17 clonazepam and a prescription bottle for clonazepam, containing 25 hydrocodone 5 g (tablets). The clonazepam bottle was prescribed in the amount of 60 pills and was filled on May 1, 2008. These officers also discovered an empty hydrocodone prescription bottle prescribed in the amount of 90 pills that was filled on May 1, 2008."
Area law enforcement officers have made quite a few arrests on assault related charges recently.
