HAMLIN - A Lincoln County man was killed in an early-morning crash Saturday near the Lincoln-Logan County line.

The West Virginia State Police detachment in Hamlin investigated the crash.

One man was killed in the crash that happened around 7:30 a.m. on the Toney straight stretch of Route 10 in Lincoln County, a West Virginia State Police spokesman said this morning.

WOWK Channel 13 news reported the accident as a single-vehicle-crash.

"Lincoln County dispatchers say they received the call at 7:40 a.m. of a single vehicle rollover near the Harts-Logan line," the WOWK.com Web site story said.

Reports to The Logan Banner said the victim of the crash was Johnny Ray Adkins, 36, of Big Creek. The Logan Banner has made attempts to confirm the reports, but was unable to get confirmation.

WVSP Trooper Bartam out of the Hamlin detachment is the investigating officer. A call was placed to the WVSP at Hamlin, but Bartram was unavailable for comment.

No other information was available at press time Monday morning.
