Traffic light needs warning signs

There was no notice that the new traffic lights at the intersection of the Fountain Place Mall Road and Route 73 heading into Logan would be turned on Thursday evening. So, it came as no surprise that there was a car crash there Friday afternoon only hours after the lights had been turned on.

The Department of Highways needs to install warning signs alerting motorists coming into and out of Logan that the new lights have been activated.

There were warning signs for the new lights at the Mud Fork exit and at all the other new traffic lights along Corridor G, so this intersection needs a warning light, too.

We urge the DOH to install warning lights along Route 73 to let motorists know that they may have to stop for the lights. If these warning signs aren't installed, there will probably be more crashes and someone could lose his or her life.
