Thousands of small American flags were placed on veteran's graves in area cemeteries in honor of Memorial Day. The flags were placed by area veteran organizations and volunteers. Monday, May 26, was Memorial Day. Many families also placed flowers and decorations on loved ones graves like Paul and Patty Clark, pictured right, of Charlotte, N.C. Photo/Martha Sparks
