The Town of Chapmanville recently held its 1st Annual Chapmanville on the Move Walk on Saturday, May 3. This event was made possible through the Logan Healthcare Foundation and West Virginia on the Move Inc., a nonprofit organization that encourages West Virginians to take small steps toward a healthier lifestyle by moving more and eating less. There were 55 registrants for the walk and the first 50 received a "Chapmanville on the Move!" t-shirt and a pedometer. The walk was held at the same time and place as the recent Health Fair sponsored by Logan Regional Medical Center and Chapmanville Middle School. The Chapmanville Walk is the second of several planned in the county over the coming months. The next one will be held at West Logan on Saturday, June 7.
