Born February 19, 1948, in Logan, he was a son of the late Eunice Adams Kelley. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Terrie Sue Adams; grandparents that raised him, Wallace and Rosie Adams; one brother, Ricky Kelley, and his father and mother-in-law, Manasses and Brooke Hensley.
Ernest was a coal miner for 18 years with Arch Coal Company. He enjoyed coon hunting and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Darren (Cindy) Adams and Rodney (Robin) Adams, both of White Oak; two sisters, Lois (Ronnie) Hoffman of Nitro and Joyce Johnson of Low Gap; four brothers, Joe (Judy) Kelley of Allen Park, Mich., and Marshall Dewayne Kelley, Arville Franklin “June Bug” Jr., (Diane) Kelley and Freddie (Tammy) Kelley, all of Big Harts; four grandchildren, Tyler Jacob, Amber Nicole, Peyton David and Heather Brooke; one special uncle, Otis Adams of White Oak; one sister-in-law, Lahoma Kelley of Cookville, Tenn., and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services will be held at noon, Sunday, September 11, at Freeman Funeral Home with Jerry Adams and Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Ernest and Terrie Adams Cemetery at White Oak.

Pallbearers will be Darren, Rodney, Landoe Adkins, Curtis Allen, Fred Collins Jr, Freddie, Wayne and Dustin Lee.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
