IAEGER (AP) - Wyoming County authorities say a 43-year-old school bus driver's husband shot the woman to death as she cleaned her bus, before shooting and killing himself Monday.

The sheriff's department reported no children aboard the bus as Robin Perkinson cleaned the vehicle near the couple's home in Ikes Fork, about a half-mile from the Wyoming-McDowell county line.

Police say 47-year-old George Perkinson came into the vehicle and shot her seven times.

The sheriff's department says Perkinson then shot himself in the head shortly after 7 p.m.

Afterward, neighbors saw George Perkinson walk across a road to barricade himself in his home. Deputies waited outside for about 45 minutes before entering the home where they found him dead.
