LOGAN, W.Va. - Ashley Jaye Guy Sparks, 24, of Logan, departed this life Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Logan.

Born August 17, 1983, in Charleston, she was the daughter of Jim and Kathy Crittendon Guy of Logan.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Gerald Crittendon, Lowell and Pauline Perry and Jay Guy.

In keeping with her spirit of life and her gift of giving, Ashley chose to be an organ donor; her wishes have been fulfilled.

Ashley was a loving wife, a special daughter, and a new mom herself. A graduate of Marshall University, she was a Special Education teacher at Logan Middle School. A member of the First Christian Church of Logan, Ashley volunteered her time to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and other charities.

Additional survivors include her husband, Patrick, and their daughter, Madilyn Jayne Sparks; her grandmother, Peggy Crittendon of Logan; her father- and mother-in-law, Alan and Teresa Sparks of Chapmanville, and a host of additional family members and good friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at the First Christian Church in Logan with Dr. Charles M. Wood II and Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Pallbearers will be troopers from the West Virginia State Police.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to the Madilyn Jayne Sparks Trust Fund, c/o Logan Bank and Trust, P.O. Box 597, Logan, WV 25601.
