HARTS, W.Va. - Ora Lowe, 93, of Harts, departed this life Sunday, June 15, 2008, at her residence.
Born March 4, 1915, in Harts, she was a daughter of the late Elza and Laura Johnson Riffe. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Lilburn Lowe; two grandsons, Rodney Lowe and Duwane Lowe; one great-grandson, Rodney Aaron Lowe; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Abby Hatfield, and one son-in-law, Billy Manns.
Ora was a member of the Little Harts Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Mrs. Billy (Sandra) Manns of Harts and Ruth (Tommy) Wade of Hamlin; seven sons, Emmett (Janet) Lowe of King William, Va., Warren Lowe (Sarah), Eugene (Dolly) Lowe, Paul (Patty) Lowe, Carlos Lowe, and Melve (Sena) Lowe, all of Harts, and Roy (Roxanne) Lowe of Ranger; one sister, Stella Holley of Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Lowe's Family Cemetery at Harts.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Lowe, Michael Wade, Warren Lowe Jr., Emmett Lowe, Ronnie Lowe, Derick Lowe, Paul Manns, Justin Manns, Justin Lowe, Jeremy Lowe and Ryan Baldwin.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
