'Annie' rehearsals begin Monday

CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK - Rehearsals for the summer production of the musical "Annie" begins Monday.

The show itself is set to begin July 29 and run through August 2. The musical then runs August 5-9 and 12-16.

Macie Hatcher will star in the lead role as Annie. Tori Shell will play Pepper. Shana Nelson stars as Tessie. Abby Brown will play Duffy. Alexis Morgan will portray July. Marli Hatcher will take the role of Molly. Kansas Moore will play Kate.

Lauren LeBoeuf, Stephanie Thornhill, Autumn Stennett, Makayla Justice, Brandi Welker, Cierra Hall, Ann Rolen and Amelya Hensley will portray the orphans.

Melissa Frye will star as Miss Hannigan, while Erin Williamson will play Grace Farrell, Josh Butcher will play "Rooster", Erica O'Briant portrays Lily St. Regis, Gary Hylton takes on the role of Bert Healy, Jerry White will play President Roosevelt and Jim Frye will be Daddy Warbucks.

Others performing roles in "Annie" are: Jalynn Damron, Kathleen Damron, Destiny Bowers, Alyson Green, Chelsie Smoot, Jackson Frye, DJ Conley, Malia Mendel, Hailee Proffitt, Melissa Carpenter, Medina Mahon, Christi Baker, Sarah Alberts, Kip Kennedy, Khiry Sturgill, Maxx Bedford, Gabrielle Ramirez, Whitney Sheppard, Roget Lowe, Jennifer Copley, Roger Burdette and Nancy Kirkendall round out the supporting cast.

Rehearsals begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday at The Aracoma Story Inc., office in downtown Logan.

All shows, including "Annie" and the final two "Aracoma" shows, will begin at 8:30 p.m. nightly.

This weekend wraps up the annual production of "The Aracoma Story," Logan's historical drama about the ill-fated love affair between Englishman Boling Baker and Native American princess, Aracoma.

The show ends Saturday night, just in time for rehearsals to begin for "Annie."
