HORSEPEN, W.Va. - Arthur J. Cline, 60, of Horsepen, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, July 14, 2008, from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born February 10, 1948, at Wharncliffe, he was a son of Alta Faye Moore Cline and the late Walter "Teets" Cline. Also preceding him in death was a special cousin, Lucky Compton.
Arthur was a retired coal miner from Black Hawk Resources and attended the Browning Fork House of Faith Church. He also loved dirt track racing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.
Additionally, those left to love and cherish his memory include his loving wife, Bonnie Cline; three sons; Walter (Gwen) Cline and Larry "Homey" (Amber) Cline, both of Wharncliffe, and A.J. (Whittney) Cline of Varney; four sisters; Wanda (Dennis) Lester of Gilbert Creek, Sheila (Allen) Rose of Prestonsburg, Ky., Trish Cline of Wharncliffe, and Barbara Cline of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Larry Cline of Wharncliffe; his five grand-children, Kirk, Makala, Dustin, Jasmyne and Jacob Cline; his special dog, "Killer," and three very special friends, Eddie Chapman, David Owens and Kendall Simpson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer with the Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Fork Cemetery at Wharncliffe.
Pallbearers will be Heath Bradford, James Blevins, Gary Wayne Blankenship, J.D. Lively, Anthony Cline, David Owens, Robert Fowler, Phillip May, Barry Ellis, Carl Cohenour and Roy Grimmett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom White, Dick Ellis, Eddie Chapman, Anthony Blevins, Dallas Blevins, J.R. Cline, Ricky Lester, Mark Hatfield, John T. Hatfield and Steven Cline.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. today at the church.
Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of the arrangements.
