WHITMAN, W.Va. - Mr. Carmelo Pansera Jr., 61, of Whitman, departed this life Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.
Born November 28, 1946, at Logan, he was a son of the late Carmelo Sr. and Angelina Fortuna Pansera. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Santo Pansera.
Mr. Pansera was a self-employed business owner of the Brotherhood Club and Steel Horse Club, both of Mt. Gay, and a musician who loved music.
Survivors include his wife, Katheryn Stevenson Pansera; three sons, David, Carmelo III and Gino, all of Logan; one daughter, Natalie (Josh) Jones of Fayetteville, N.C.; one brother, Antonio Pansera of Logan; four sisters, Florena Ojeda, Jody Adams and Jackie Pansera, all of Whitman, and Angela Moore of Milton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the 20 Whitman Community Church with Rev. Joaquine Ooten officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
