HARTS, W.Va. - Illah Lawson, 72, of Harts, formerly of Henlawson, was born July 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Arthur and Orlena Johnston Mullins. She went to be with the Lord Thursday July 17, 2008, at the home of her special niece, Selena, with whom she lived, at Buckfork of Harts.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Franklin "Dugan" Lawson, formerly of Stollings and Henlawson; one son, Teddy Ray Lawson; one daughter, Sharon Ann Lawson, and two brothers, Arthur Keith "Nicky" Mullins and Anthony Wilner "Toney" Mullins.

Illah was a member of Logan Bowling League for 30 years, a Scout leader in Logan for 20 years and Brownie Three Senior Cadet. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Logan.

Survivors include one aunt, Betty Jo Bias of High Street, Logan; special niece, Selena (Thomas) Hensley; additional niece and nephews, Doreen (John) Fletcher of Columbus, Ohio, Robbie (Kathy) Bryant of Verdunville and Eddie (Ricky) Lawson of Whitman; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth (Thomas) Bryant of Harts and Lois Lawson of Columbus; one brother-in-law, Jack Lawson of Whitman, and a host of additional family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, at the James Funeral Home in Aracoma with the Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
