GARNET PRITCHARD

TAVARES, Fla. - Mrs. Garnet Bentley Jordan Pritchard, 94, of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Salisbury, N.C., and Chapmanville, was born August 18, 1913, in Lawrence County, Ky., a daughter of the late William and Louvinia Childers Bentley. She departed this life Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Mt. Dora, Fla.

Also preceding her in death were her two husbands, Russell Jordan in 1959 and French Pritchard in 1982; sisters, Imogene Shelton, Mildred Lovejoy and Maxine Hale; two brothers, Lee Bentley and James Bentley, and one daughter, Eloise Mobley.

Mrs. Pritchard was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Tavares.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Bledsoe of Chapmanville, Easter Clegg of Cocoa, Fla., and Eileen Golien of Tavares; one sister, Ruth Bowyer of Salisbury; two brothers, Ralph Bentley of Summersville and Noah Bentley of Wadsworth, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Mr. Tony Vance officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby.

Visitation will begin after noon Monday at funeral home.
