CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. - Zackary Allen Frye, 10, of Chapmanville, departed this life Friday, July 25, 2008, at Nolan, as a result of an auto accident. His mother, Melanie Marie Buckland, also passed away as a result of the same accident.
Born November 14, 1997, at Charleston, he was a precious son of Rodney Frye of Man and the late Melanie Marie Buckland. Also preceding him in death was his paternal grandparents.
Zack was a student at West Chapmanville Grade School and was excited to start 5th grade at Chapmanville Middle School. He also played football for Chapmanville Midget League.
Additionally, survivors include his two sisters, Haley Nicole and McKenzie Paige of Chapmanville; two uncles, Randy Buckland (Jamie Carver) of Chapmanville, David Frye (Christy) of Mouthcard, Ky.; one aunt, Chrissy Riffe (John Anteman) of Huntington. He was greatly loved by his paternal grandparents, John and Judy Griffith of Chapmanville and his maternal great-grandparents, Denny and Orao Toler, whom he loved very much. Zack is also survived by two very special cousins, Ethan John Trebor Anteman, Rachael Frye Griffith, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Joint services will be held for Zack and his mother Melanie at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at the Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Pedro Belcher, Musco Adams, Chris Runyon, Chris Riffe, Rodney Frye and David Frye.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
