Josh Butcher told The Logan Banner that entry forms are available now at the Logan Chamber of Commerce and that there are multiple age groups for both the run and the walk.
"From what I understand this is the first time they have had this sort of event in association with the Logan County Arts and Crafts Fair," Butcher said.
Cash prizes for the 5K run include $100 for the first place male and female contestant and $75 for the second place male and female contestant and $50 for the first place Masters male and female contestants. Winners in each age division will be recognized.
Age groups for the 5K run are 14-and-under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69 and 70-and -over.
Age groups for the walk are 9-and-under; 10-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70-and-over.
Registration for the run is $12 if postmarked by July 29, and $15 afterwards. Registration for the walk is $10. Both fees include a T-shirt and a festival admission ticket for the upcoming Logan Arts and Crafts Fair. Checks should be made payable to: the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and can be sent to Logan County Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 218, Logan WV 25601.
