The Brothers of the Wheel, Coalfields chapter, had another tremendous year of raising funds and making donations throughout Logan County and the surrounding areas. The chapter, has presented awards in honor and appreciation to the city of Logan and the towns of Chapmanville and Man for allowing them to collect donations there.

Money collected is given to less fortunate children and families in their time of need. The Coalfields chapter also donated funds to the Tug Valley Women and Children Shelter.

The chapter would once again like to thank the city of Logan and the towns of Chapmanville and Man for their support and participation in these charitable endeavors. In addition, the Coalfields chapter would like to thank the people of these communities for their generosity in making these donations.

The Coalfields chapter will sponsor a celebration on Friday, Aug. 15, and Sat., August 16, at 3 Mile Curve and Thunderblast Inc.. On Friday, starting at 5 p.m., there will be a car/truck show and a Crank-It-Up contest. Prizes and awards will be given out and there will be plenty of activities for the kids so bring the whole family. Saturday is the 4th Annual Biker Bash featuring bike games and a bike show starting at 6 p.m. There will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, camping and a midnight show. Gates open at noon and the party lasts throughout the night.
