While in school, Erica was a straight-A student, was on the Honor Roll, a cheerleader, and played softball and soccer. During her high school career, she was chosen twice to go out of the country to represent her school and the state of North Carolina as a goodwill ambassador, once to Australia and once to London.
She will be attending college at Davidson County Community College for one semester and then transfer to the University of Wilmington to pursue a degree in Nursing.
Erica is the daughter of Robert and Kathy Maynard of Lexington and has one sister, Tiffany. She is the granddaughter of Geraldine Bunch of Davin, who attended the graduation, the late Kenneth Bunch and Bernard and Maggie Maynard of Lyburn.
