CHAPMANVILLE - Grace Riders, a Christian motorcyclist group based in Chapmanville, will host their second annual open house this Saturday, August 9, at the old Chapmanville High School building beginning at 2 p.m.

The event will offer free food and drinks; special singing by Change of Heart and Freeway; bike games and open microphone for all to enjoy. New events at the open house will be a fellowship ride and a movie after dark.

Grace Riders is Chapter 987 of the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA). The president is John Mays and vice president is Tony Evans.

The basic purpose of a CMA chapter is to support the national CMA effort of sharing and showing the love of Jesus Christ to motorcyclists and supporting the overall ministry of CMA. In this, there is a three-fold purpose: Provide and encourage members to be active in testimony and Christian witnessing to all motorcyclists; provide a Christian fellowship ride group and provide an evangelistic association for motorcycling.

As a member of the CMA ministry, each member agrees to live and act under biblical principles of conduct. They stress that these principles should be effective in the member's daily life, but must be followed whenever a member is wearing the CMA back patch Each chapter works under the leadership of their State Coordinator and Area Reps to further the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Christian Motorcyclists Association's vision is to change the world, one heart at a time. They pray to accomplish this vision through: Evangelism outreach primarily, but not exclusively, to the motorcycling community; a Run for the Son, where they partner with ministries with world-reaching potential; Equipping their members in ministry training that aligns itself with Biblical truths; to have a servant's attitude to the world and to their members (i.e., Here if you need us); Quality products that aid in evangelistic outreach, and an effective WorkCenter support team.

CMA's Mission is to inspire their leaders and members to be the most organized, advanced, equipped, financially stable organization, full of integrity in the motorcycling industry and the kingdom of God.

Grace Riders will also participate in Biker Sunday this Sunday, August 10, at the Stone Branch Church of God with services at 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

If you would like to know more about Grace Riders or become a member, visit them at their open house Saturday, August 9, or at the bike rally Sunday, August 10.
