SANFORD, Fla. - Osie Marie Carpenter, 84 of Sanford, Fla., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at her home of natural causes.
Born March 6, 1924, at Barnabus, she was a daughter of the late Marion Lee Duty and Elizabeth Cary Duty. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Carpenter was a member of Sanford Church of God.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Julius D. "Pete" Carpenter; daughters, Marian Elizabeth (Darrell) Benge and Linda Diane (Tim) Turner; seven grandchildren, Cynthia Aileen (Dino) Evans, Jennifer Renee (Denny) Clayton, Valerie Lynn (Jason) Ward, Christopher Muse, Michael Rosendahl, Jessica Rosendahl and Jimmy Rosendahl; six great-grandchildren, Soren and Noah Evans, Logan and Julia Clayton and Jackson and Trenton Ward; sister-in-law, Money Ruth "Boots" (Noah) King; numerous nieces, nephews and friends and Mr. Carpenter's nurses, Ana Vargas, Wanda Johnson and Debra Corcione.
Services will be held at11 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, at the Sanford Riverwalk Church of God. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Lake Mary, Fla.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Oaklawn Chapel of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home.
