* BRAEHOLM - The Buffalo Creek Public Service District will mee at 5 p.m. at their offices. The meeting is open to the public.

* CHAPMANVILLE - Orientation for all freshmen students and parents will be held at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Chapmanville Regional High School. Parents and students may pick the session they wish to attend. Principal Terry Elkins encourages all freshmen and their parents to attend.

* LOGAN COUNTY - The Logan County Board of Education has announced there will be make-up kindergarten screening from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at three sites: Logan Middle School, Chapmanville Middle School and Man Middle School. Any child entering Kindergarten that missed the health screening must attend the make-up screening. Any child that has not been screened will NOT be able to attend school until the screening is completed. This is the last screening we will have for students entering kindergarten. Appointments with speech therapists and schools nurses will have to be arranged before your child can attend school. This screening is mandatory.

* LOGAN - Logan High School will host freshman orientation for all incoming freshmen and their parents at 5 p.m. Counselors will be on hand, Mr. Lucas and staff members will give out a booklet and school information as well as give a tour of the school.

* MAN - All staff are to report to Man High School for a staff development meeting from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Refreshments to be served from 7:30-8 a.m.

* CHAPMANVILLE - Chapmanville Middle School will have 5th grade orientation on at 6 p.m.

August 22-23

Friday-Saturday

* LOGAN - The Logan High School Class of 1963 will have reunion beginning with registration at 6 p.m. at the Logan Country Club. Fingerfoods and socializing will follow. On Sat., a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Logan High School Little Theater followed by a tour of the school. Group photo will be taken at 6 p.m. at the Logan Country Club with a dinner and dance to follow. For more info call 304-752-1422.

* SWITZER - The 3rd Annual Switzer Church of God Car Show will be held on Rt. 44. Registration is from 9 a.m.-noon. The Car Show will be from noon-3 p.m. Hot dogs and concessions will be sold. * HENLAWSON - The Browning Reunion will be held at 1 p.m. at the Chief Logan Park, Shelter No. 2. Everyone welcome. Please bring lots of good food and enjoy a day of fun and fellowship.

Coaches and any parent or guardian who had a child participate in the Boone County Soccer Club this season is encouraged to attend.
