Traffic was halted for more than half and hour Saturday evening in the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 119 on Holden Mountain near Gaston Caperton Drive when a Chevrolet pickup truck burst into flames and burned. Firefighters from Cora and Verdunville volunteer fire departments responded to the blazing vehicle and had it extinguished within minutes of their arrival. No one was inside the vehicle and there were no reported injuries. The Logan Banner was first on the scene and reported the fire to Logan County 911. Photos/Michael Browning
