The Lady Bulldogs had no trouble beating Sheldon Clark in the first set, 25-13, but lost to the Lady Cards, 21-25, in the second set.
Burch rallied to win the last two sets, 25-22 and 25-21.
"We rolled over Sheldon Clark in the first game, but they came along in the second and third games," Burch coach Jan Cisco said. "We tend to have slow starts, too. Sheldon Clark is a good team.
"My girls are worn out. My girls played a lot better in Saturday's tournament at Westside. We placed second in that and had to play 11 games. We may have been a little tired last night, but they played their hearts out."
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-2-1 with the win.
Burch returns to action this evening at Williamson in a tri-match with Williamson and Belfry, Ky.
